Using over 20 years experience of the business sector in the UK, First Governance Solutions has been developed by Colin Kinghorn to work with organisations that have a presence in Asia.

While First Governance Solutions is based in South East Asia, from our base in Bangkok, Thailand, we offer a comprehensive range of governance and risk solutions to clients throughout Asia and indeed, beyond.

First Governance operates on the basis that no engagement will be accepted unless we are sure that our portfolio of clients can be managed to ensure that resource is available within your required timeframe. Colin Kinghorn, Director

Colin is an experienced senior executive who has over 18 years management experience, including being a Board Committees member for a UK company. With wide experience of sitting on the Audit Committee Colin has also led over 30 reviews of corporate governance within a wide range of companies. Your organisation will benefit from Colin's strong links with the governance, risk and control arena.

As a past Chairman of the Institute of Internal Auditors within Scotland, Colin was directly responsible for the significant unprecedented success and growth within Scotland that the IIA enjoyed. As a result, the IIA was in strongly placed to consolidate its position as a leading professional body as well as make inroads into developing relationships with new specialists groups within the media and government.

Colin also has direct experience of Financial Services, having worked within the Life Assurance industry, where he successfully managed a suite of IT projects aimed at re-engineering the front and back office functions to create a more efficient operation to meet the expectations of insurance brokers and policyholders.

Colin has worked as a senior manager within the management consultancy arena for the last 8 years and has been privileged to work with clients in many different sectors. Specifically, Colin has worked with:

Jasmin Abdullah, Associate Director

Jasmin is an experienced and multicutural executive who has over 10 years of financial and business management experience. He has a Bachelors degree in Finance and Banking and a Technical and Further Education Certificate in Micro-Computing from his formal education gained in Australia.

He began his career as a credit analyst for Australia New Zealand Bank (ANZ) where he quickly accelerated to an assistant manager within the Business Banking division in a couple of years.

At Aspect-Huntley’s where he worked as an Equity Analyst. He was exposed to the Capital/Equity Markets of the Australian Stock Exchange. His broad role there included: research, annual report writings, financial analysis and recommendations on sectors within his responsibilities (IT and Mining stocks). In addition, he was involved with drafting of prospectus for new companies and testing/debugging for the company’s online and subscribers’ database/website.

He has worked as an independent consultant in Thailand for the last 5 years, both in Business Development and Strategy as well as in the field of communications. His accomplishments to date includes: successfully worked as a Project Manager on Change and Process Improvement Management at Intel Micro-electronics Thailand. Training and designing programmes such as: Marketing, Business Strategy, Corporate Finance and E-Learning.

As a corporate trainer in Thailand he has worked with over 12 companies and government organizations where he has gained a reputation as an excellent trainer and versatile communicator.

He has lived in worked in Thailand since 2003 and has working knowledge of 5 languages (English, Japanese, Malay/Indonesian, Swedish and Thai) and has been privileged to work with clients in many different sectors. Specifically, Jasmin has worked with:
